By posting to the sw-announce mailing list you are granting permission to allow republishing of your message, including all headers and sender information, as part of the mailing list archive. General Guidelines
Please adhere to the following guidelines before posting a message to the list:
- You must post from the address you used to subscribe, or from an address that has been specifically added to a list of approved posters. If your message doesn't show up, check to see if you sent it from the right address.
- Please do make sure that the subject line of the message is short and informative. The subject should convey enough information to allow the reader to assess whether or not the full announcement would be of interest to them. Subjects such as 'Upcoming Event' or 'Last Call' are not acceptable.
- Please restrict postings to the topics listed in the list information page only. If you are unsure whether your announcement is on topic then please check with the list administrator first.
- Please do not send administrative messages (e.g., “unsubscribe me”) to the list itself. If you have difficulties with your subscription, please contact the list administrator.
- Please do not send attachments to the list. Your message will be rejected if any attachment, including vCards and Outlook data, is present.
- Please do not send HTML email to the list. If your announcement requires the use of formatting or images then please post it to a public website and send a link to it instead. Please read this guide to configuring mail clients for plain text email if you require help switching off HTML from your mail program.
Please do not reply to the list when responding to announcements. We would like to encourage you to reply directly to the announcement author if you require further information.

- Please mention if your product has availability restrictions such as intellectual property issues or encryption embargoes.
If your product is downloadable, include a URL for the download page rather than just a generic home page.

If your announcement concerns a job vacancy then please ensure that you abide by the following guidelines:
